This sculpture represents pure youth and innocence between children. Two youngsiblings spend the afternoonplaying. They are eternal companions. They share a rock. One sits, while the other hops up alongside her and places an arm around her shoulder. He leans in and whispers a cherished secret for her ears only. They wear loose green patina cloths wrapped around their chubby brown waists. 100% bronze and handmade, this sculpture was cast using the "Lost Wax Method" and mounted on a marble base. It features the signature A. Moreau. Auguste Moreau (1834 to 1917) was born in the early 19th century and studied under Mathurin Moreau. Auguste Moreau worked as a sculptor and specialized in figures, statuettes and groups, mainly in marble. He made his debut at the 1861 Salon in Paris and continued to play an active part in the Salon des Artistes Francais as a member of the Societe des Artistes Francais until 1910.
