Wainwright</B></I> TLS on his Headquarters Fourth Army letterhead, with the original envelope and a signed card containing a second signature. Also, an FDC honoring James H. Doolittle signed by him alongside his image and postmarked "Washington DC / March 21, 1944"; the cover is additionally signed by Secretary of the Navy, <B>James Forrestal.</B></I> This lot also includes two covers honoring Wainwright and a U.S. Army patch.
