<B>Shreveport, LA</B></I> - $10 1929 Ty. 1 <B>The Exchange NB</B></I> Ch. # 11521<BR> No small size notes were known from this Caddo Parish issuer until this note arrived in our office for this auction. The light bends in the paper and complete lack of soiling indicate this note was a keepsake, likely belonging to one of the bank's officers. Its status as a Serial Number One memento also ensured its survival. The lack of any other small size notes is due in part to a very limited emission of only 658 sheets and a local economy that was hard hit during the depression with few people having the means to set aside cash.
