<B>Showcase #6 Challengers of the Unknown (DC, 1957) CGC FN- 5.5 Off-white to white pages.</B></I> This historic issue features the origin and first appearance of the Challengers of the Unknown, the first Silver Age hero team, and first original concept for a Silver Age series. This was to be Jack Kirby's final series for DC until his return from Marvel in the early Bronze Age, and he supplied both the cover and interior art. This copy has a small "J" written in ink and a light arrival date stamped on the cover, but remains a very sharp and desirable example of a true Silver Age key. Overstreet 2006 FN 6.0 value = $838.
