<B>Showcase #34 The Atom (DC, 1961) CGC NM 9.4 Off-white pages.</B></I> The formula had worked famously for the Flash and for Green Lantern in earlier try-outs in this title, so why not bring back another Golden Age superhero, updated for Silver Age times? Here's the origin and first appearance of the Mighty Mite, with stellar art from the combination of Gil Kane pencils and Murphy Anderson inks. Tough book to find in higher grade, as affirmed by CGC having certified just two copies to date nicer than VF/NM 9.0. Overstreet 2006 NM- 9.2 value = $2,300.
