<B>Showcase #23 Green Lantern (DC, 1959) CGC FN/VF 7.0 Off-white to white pages.</B></I> Reviving and updating Green Lantern proved more of an instant success than reinventing the Flash in 1956. It's easy to see why. Artist Gil Kane was at the top of his game with this nuclear explosion cover (and splash page), and with his interior story art, and John Broome's scripts were entertaining. This was the second tryout appearance of the Silver Age Green Lantern. Overstreet 2006 FN 6.0 value = $390; VF 8.0 value = $1,105.
