Brass ship’s chronometer in wooden case. On dial of chronometer is written: Thomas Mercer, Maker to the Admiralty, The Indian & Colonial Governments, London & St. Albans. Paper label on back inside reads: J. Sewill Chronometer maker to the Admiralty, Manufacturing National Opticians, 61 South Castle Street, Liverpool, cleaned June 1952. Plaque on front reads: Mercer 1124Z. Case measures approximately 7" x 7" x 7".
