Printed booklet commemorating the Gabriel Peace Prize, signed and inscribed on title page of pamphlet by Israeli Prime Minister Shimon Peres, in Hebrew, and Jordan's King Hussein I bin Talal, in Arabic. King Hussein and Prime Minister Peres attended the Gabriel Peace Prize ceremony, which was awarded to Ambassadors Elyakim Rubinstein and Fayez Tarawneh for their roles in the negotiations of the Israel-Jordan peace treaty on 26 October 1994. Document, in Hebrew, Arabic and English runs 16pp., printed on cardstock. Two other signatures are possibly the reward recipients, though not positively identified. Also includes five photographs, including a fold-out photo of the signing of the Israel-Jordan Peace Treaty, depicting President Bill Clinton, Shimon Peres, Yithak Rabin, and King Hussein, among others. Document is also accompanied by a typed letter from King Hussein's office, dated 25 August 1996, addressed to a Hanita Halevy. Letter thanks her for a gift of poems by her cousin Ely Rubinstein and reads in part, ''Dear Ms. Halevi. His majesty appreciates receiving a copy of your book of poems translated into Arabic and also your personal dedication -- His Majesty is looking forward to reading your poems.Yours Sincerely, Brigadier Ali Shukri''. Two stamped holes through letter and expected folding. Signed document in very good condition.
