.45-70 Gov't #B052 High quality & faithful reproduction of the Sharps Rifle Company Model 1874 falling block single shot sporting rifle chambered in .45 2 1/10". Manufactured in Big Timber, MT circa 1996 as part of a 1 of 100 special edition Commemorative Hartford.
Features a polished blued 30" heavy octagon barrel with silver banded Hartford collar, dovetailed German silver blade front sight, buckhorn rear sight with flip-up ladder marked 2-8, case hardened receiver with hand engraved silver serial number plate & embossed banner that reads “HARTFORD MODEL”, fire blued screws, double set triggers, knurled hammer spur, smooth extra fancy American black walnut forend with “AA’ finish & pewter tip, and straight grip shoulder stock with silver plated crescent buttplate & 13 3/4" LOP. Includes a factory letter, the original build sheet, QC hang tag & receipt. Also includes an ornate silver plate belt buckle by Montana Silversmiths with matching serial number to the rifle. Rifle retains approximately 99% of its original finish showing minor handling marks and some small blemishes on the pewter forend tip. The action is mechanically sound, the bore is pristine and the figured walnut stocks are excellent.
