<B>Sherbrooke, PC- The Eastern Townships Bank</B></I> $1 Aug. 1, 1859 Ch. # 230-10-04-02a<BR> Despite an issue spanning the years from its inauguration in 1859 through its acquisition by the Canadian Bank of Commerce in 1912, notes from this bank range from the extremely scarce to the prohibitively rare. This piece comes from the so-called "Green Issue" of 1859 and 1861 and represents the first notes issued by this institution. Every note bearing the fully engraved August 1, 1859 date is rare, with no example being priced in Charlton in better than Very Good condition. Expect this specimen, which carries the red "Stanbridge" overprint, to likely exceed its conservative catalogue valuation of $2500. <B>Very Good.</B></I><BR><I>From The Thomas M.
