Shelbyville, IL - $5 1882 Brown Back Fr. 474 The First NB Ch. # (M)2128 Uncut Sheet
This sheet is unique for type on the state with only two other Brown Back sheets in other denominations known. The notes are signed by officers John W. Powers and H.M. Scarborough. The colors are bright and the layout pleasing. Despite the folds between the notes and the pair of vertical folds they display excellent eye appeal. This bank was first chartered in 1873 and the date of these notes is 1893. Perhaps it was saved as a souvenir of this period in its history.

Shipping: Coins & Currency (view shipping information)
