Of those eight notes, only a couple have a higher grade than this example. This bank went into receivership on May 26, 1930 leaving a large size outstanding of only $1350. The penned signatures are in black ink for the cashier and blue for the president. Shawneetown served as an important United States government administrative center for the Northwest Territory after the American Revolution.
