Sharps patent 4 barrel derringer by "Tipping & Lawden" in 32 caliber rim fire, finely period English scroll engraved and full gold plated with ivory grips. The derringer is completely devoid of patent marks or serial#'s and shows just British proofs. The release mechanism, hammer and styling is absolutely a Tipping & Lawden and this may be a pre production presentation or prototype. The condition is very good plus to near fine with 75-85% rich original gold plate that has drifted slightly and area where gold is missing gone to a nice patina. The release spring shows bright fire blue as does the trigger and hammer. The action is good, thegrips are near excellent. An interesting, ornate and rare derringer being full gold plated.
