Sharps new model conversion to .50-70 cartridge in excellent as-issued arsenal condition. Serial #75123. The barrel shows 90-95% original military blue finish, some slight erosion and a couple areas of thinning, spotting, natural aging. The barrel shows no Sharps markings and is inspected with F and GC proofs and breech. The lock and frame show 90-95% strong and fiery rainbow case colors. The stocks are near excellent with sharp “E F” cartouche beneath saddle ring bar and “D H” cartouche at center portion of left side of buttstock. The stocks show just a couple of minor storage marks and bruises and very slight aging. The saddle ring bar, plate, and ring show original bright. The buttplate shows 90% plus case hardening. The interior and bore are near mint. The front sight blade has been slimmed slightly. A strong 9 to 9.5 on a 1-10 scale, and would be very difficult to improve upon. Est: $3,500 - $7,000
