Sharps model 2a .30 cal rimfire pepperbox derringer, blue and silver finish, raised carved ivory grips in form Robinson Carusso or cavalier. Serial # 2809. The derringer remains in very good plus original condition w/20 - 40% original blue on bbl. 75-85% original darkened silver on frame just wearing on edges, crisp original grips with extra fine high releif carving on left. The grips fit impeccably and show just light patina and natural yellowing. The markings are sharp, tight action and working. The portrait on the grips resembles steel engravings from epic novel Robinson Carusso. However this style carving is more often identified as a cavalier.
