Sharps model 1874single-shot rifle, .44-77 caliber with straight case, 30” half-round half-octagon barrel, double-set triggers, with all features as standard on this model showing Hartford address with pewter forendcap, serial #155254. The barrel shows 70-80% original blue drifting from the left bottom edge extending back approx. 20”, otherwise most of the original blue is present with sharp edges, just some minor erosion andpinprick pitting, good markings, original Lawrence marked rear sight and factory-type front sight. The frame shows 30-50% smoky grey case hardening with strong cases of color within the patina. The stocks are goodto very good with a few dings, mars, scratches, normal use but fit well with no major damage and at least 50-70% of their original varnish. The action is tight, the bore near excellent and still bright andshiny. The barrel matches and the rifle has seen little use and no abuse. Est: $3,500 - $7,000
