Sharps falling breech block single shot Military rifle converted to cartridge, 50-70 cal., 35” barrel, blue and case hardened, full wood stock, #C,33894. This gun is in overall very good condition showing serial number on the left side of the breech that matches the serial number on the upper tang; barrel shows scattered pin prick pitting and has been previously cleaned; the receiver and lock plate show silvery traces of case hardening with the balance gone to a brown patina; the bore is very good, the action crisp, the markings good and the wood is in overall good to very good condition with scattered wear, nicks, mars and scratches from carry and storage; butt plate shows “US” stamp on the top, both sling swivels are present as is the iron ramrod and the lot is accompanied by a “US” marked socket bayonet.
