Sharps and Hankins Model 1862 Navy-type carbine, .52 cal., 24” round barrel with original protective leather cover, wood stock, brass butt plate, #11265. This gun is in overall good to very good condition showing case hardened frame gone to silvery finish with some scattered areas of light erosion and pin prick pitting; sharp markings, crisp action, good bore, very good leather barrel cover with complete stitching and only minor scattered mars and scratches from use and carry. The wood stock is in good + condition showing scattered nicks and mars also from carry and storage. A key carbine for the Civil War collector and with the seldom found protective leather cover. Est.: $1,500-$3,000.
