The rear sight base and receiver have the standard Sharps and R.S. Lawrence patent markings, with the serial number stamped on top of the receiver tang. Very fine. The barrel retains approximately 80% plus thinning arsenal blue finish with the balance a smooth brown patina. The barrel band has a smooth gray patina. The receiver and buttplate retain approximately 60% of the case colors with the balance a smooth gray patina. The casehardened components have had a protective coating applied. The wood is also very fine with some minor dings and scratches. The cartouches are clear and crisp. Mechanically excellent.
