Sharps Model 1A Four Barrel Pepperbox Pistol with Case
Produced circa 1859 - 1874. Brass post and breechblock groove rear sights, produced without extractor. Straight standing breech, with "C. SHARPS/ PATENT 1859" on the left side around the screw and "C. SHARPS & Co/ PHILADA. PA." on the right. Two piece mother of pearl grips, with the left panel showing a raised set of 4 aces, with the markings colored black and red as appropriate. In a hardwood locking case with an unmarked brass plaque on the lid and brown felt lined French cut interior, with space for the revolver, a key (included) and an (empty) box of Remington-UMC 30 Short Rimfire.

Condition: Very fine, with 70% of the original blue finish, showing areas of brown patina on the sides, scattered handling marks and minor spotting. 75% of the original silver remains, showing aged brass along the high edges, a few areas of bubbling, and a mixed aged patina. Grips are fine as period fitted. Case is good, with the lock disabled and mild internal and external wear. Mechanically excellent.
