#79515, Cal. 50-70 Center Fire (converted from percussion by Sharps for U.S. Government), 22" Barrel stamped "New Model 1863" on top of barrel near Receiver. Rear sight stamped "R.S. Lawrence, Patented, Feb. 15, 1859" which is correct. Very strong spring on rear sight. Inspector marks "C" stamped left side of barrel, "W" stamped on rear mount of saddle ring slide and "C" on Trigger Plate forward of trigger. 22" barrel relined as per government contract for 50-70 Center Fire. Lock Plate side stamping are "C. Sharps Pat. Oct 5, 1852", Lock plate stamping behind “R.S. Lawrence pat. April 12th 1859" and left side of receiver stamped “Pat. 1848". An extra inspector stamp (initials DFC in a ribbon cartouche) was marked in the center of the left side of butt stock. Mark is present and clear. Serial Number Range for New Model 1863 from Approx. 75,000 to 140,000 (per Flayderman). Action in working order. Does not require FFL Transfer.
