Sharps 4-barrel pepperbox derringer, .30 caliber rimfire, blue and case hardened finish, serial #2012, with original period leather holster, hard-rubber grips. The derringer remains in very good plus to nearfine condition with 90-95% bright blue on barrel, some small areas of erosion and pinprick pitting just starting. The frame shows 60-80% original darkened silver plate, the grips are fine to near excellent. Theaction is tight and the hammer and firing pins show most of their original finish. The bores are also near excellent. A form-fitted plugged-bottom leather holster with small belt loop and shammy lining is included. Theholster is in good to very good condition. The belt loop needs to be resewn, but generally good overall with just normal aging and absolutely a period holster circa 1860’s to 70’s. Est: $1,500 - $3,000
