Sharps 1C Four Barrel from The Bull Family
Framed antique four shot breech-loading pepperbox pistol chambered in .22 rimfire, that was carried in Agustus Bull's boot during the Civil War. Features four 2.5" blued barrels, silver bead front sight, channel cut rear sight, rotating firing pin on the hammer, smooth spur trigger, silver plated brass frame with "C. Sharps" markings and two-piece smooth wood grips. Included with this pistol is a red velvet lined shadowbox with brief Bull family history and a signed photo of Mason Bull, Augustus Bull's great-grandson. Barrels retain approximately 65% of their blued finish showing edge wear and scattered scratches. The frame bears a period refinish showing wear and some remnants of the now incomplete circular markings around the hammer screw on the frame. The rotating firing pin functions well but the trigger does not reset on it's own & the hammer will not lock in the cocked position. Bores are fair and wood grips are very good but are non-matching. Condition is NRA good. ***Antique Firearm***
