& Alex Agassiz.
Transactions of the Royal Society of Edinburgh, Vol. XXXVIII, Part II (Partial, see below), for the
Session 1894-1895. Edinburgh: Robert Grant & Son, 1896. FIRST EDITION. This is
a separate presentation on animals discovered by the Challenger in the Indian

(1882) of Sir Charles Wyville Thomson (1830-1882), Regius Professor of Natural
History at Edinburgh and scientific director of the voyage of circumnavigation
organized by the Royal Society. John Murray of Ontario, Canada, edited the
fifty-volume Report on the scientific results of the voyage of H.M.S. Challenger
during the years 1872-1876 (London, 1880-1895) and was co-author of The depths
of the ocean (London, 1912). These contributions made Murray a founder of
oceanography as a separate science. 4to. 1/2 Maroon leather and Marbled bds

It is our policy that floor bids are always considered first over tie ebay live bids.
