<B>Shadow Comics Softcover Bound Volume (Street & Smith, 1941-42).</B></I> We suspect that a publisher or artist had this unusual softcover volume made. It's got a green paper cover, date-stamped "Sep 5 1956" on the inside, and the issue numbers are handwritten on the spine (incorrect numbers, however). This would be the ideal candidate to have re-bound into a hardcover, a fairly inexpensive process. Included here are trimmed and bound copies of V1#10, V1#12, V2#1, V2#2, V2#3, V2#5, and V2#7. In addition to the Shadow, these comics have appearances by the Dead End Kids, Little Nemo, and Supersnipe (V2#3 is the latter's first appearance!). Note that this series can be confusing since the wrong numbers are in the indicia, Gerber doesn't help by picturing the wrong V2#2, and these issues are bound out of order! The important thing is the condition, though, and these copies have the fresh cover colors we've come to expect from bound volumes.
