<td width="100%">
We are pleased to offer a marvelous Sevres coffee can that is beautifully painted with a gentleman and his lady by an outside fire.
The main colour of the can is dark blue, decorated wih the painting to the central panel surrounded by azure blue beads (on of these is missing). To the side of the main pcture a staff surrounded with vine leaves in honey gold.
To the stained base is the Sevres mark with the letter L for 1764 as well as the decorator's mark. According Chaffer's Handbook the decorator was Bertrand.
The handle has probably had some restorations and there have been a few touch-ups where chips apparently occurred.
