Witter "advises and assists settlers upon the public lands in perfecting their entries and securing title from the Government." 64 different bits of advice and rules covering: what lands are subject to entry, private entry, pre-exemption, homestead, timber culture, notice of final proof, abandonment and contests, and relinquishment. He put out the first edition in 1870 and the second in 1882. Horizontal folds.
