Set of three mid 19th Century Continental fairing trinket, jewel boxes. Largest box in the form of a rare example of a draped dressing table, covered with accouterments - a pocket watch, book , wax seal stamp, signet ring & a derringer pistol ( 3 1/4" L X 2 3/4" W X 3 1/4" H ) with a fair amount of gold gilt remaining. * older crack to the bottom in firing. Smaller dresser box covered with accouterments - pocket watch, signet ring & wax seal stamp ( 2 3/4" L X 2" W X 2 1/2" H ) with some original coloring & gold gilt remains. Third box is an unusual example of a smaller table with a bible, crucifix & chalice mount. Some original color & gold gilt remains. 2 3/4" L X 2" W X 2 1/2" H. * Fairing boxes were prizes or trophies given away at Victorian era fairs & thus named. Â
