Pair of Chinese wooden panels with polychrome enameled porcelain plaques, late Qing dynasty, each of the four rectangular plaques expertly painted in pale colored enamels with figures in a landscape setting, one rendered in a rather impressionistic literati style, others with the landscape elements executed in a more traditional manner, each inscribed with a poetic colophon of varying length and signed 'Cheng Men' or 'Li daoren' (Cheng Men, 1833-1908) preceded by painted seals, all set into a natural and zitan-stained wood frame, overall: 72.25''h x 17''w, porcelain: 15''h x 9.75''w; Provenance: ex-collection of Mrs. Woo Chen Zon Yin, purchased at Sotheby Parke Bernet, Hong Kong, November 4, 1974, lot #337, by Reynold Tom of Oakland, now offered by his family
