<B>G.A.R. Medals</B></I> A fine set of six (6) ornate medals and ribbons worn by Civil War veterans at various encampments and meetings of the Grand Army of the Republic from various localities including Detroit, Newark, N.J., and Toledo. Some bear images of Abraham Lincoln, and others bear enameled bars. One fun example from Anderson, Indiana features a color image of "Chief Anderson" on a canteen with a key affixed to the ribbon indicating on the ribbon that "this key opens all locks at Anderson, Ind..." Overall very good; ribbons bear some foxing and fraying.
