Outstanding mid-19th Cty. Napoleon II set of service plates, each hand painted with artist signed and dated scenes of earlier French hot air balloon flights, the central ballooning reserves surrounded by gilt border of laurel leaves, and a serpentine gilded edge, with a matching pair of 2 handled jardinieres or cache pots, also colorfully painted with ballooning scenes, amidst gilt border details. Very fine condition overall. One cache pot with small evidence of mineral deposits from plant.
