Flown watch worn on board the International Space Station Expedition 5 by cosmonaut Sergey Treshchev. Digital Casio module 2265, model W42H has a black resin band with lighted display. The Expedition 5 crew launched on the space shuttle Endeavour on June 5, 2002, and returned to Earth on the Endeavour on December 7, 2002, with the crew spending 184 days in space. Accompanied by a certificate of authenticity signed by Treshchev, as well as a handwritten letter from the cosmonaut, in Russian, confirming that this was the watch he wore during his mission, and bears the official stamps of the ISS. Also included is a photo of Treshchev wearing the watch while on board the space station. In fine condition. Any timepiece that has flown to space is highly desirable, especially one with such outstanding documentation.
