Distinguished pianist and composer (1873–1943) who takes a place among the last great figures of the Russian romantic school. Vintage glossy 8 x 10 photo of the seated and pensive looking composer, signed vertically in fountain pen, “S. Rachmaninoff.” The reverse of the piece bears an NBC Artist’s Services stamp, as well as the collector’s notation of “Sailing. Berengaria, Wed. March 3, 1937.” Scattered light surface marks, as well as some minor edge and corner creases, otherwise fine condition.
