As a high school senior, Gary Lessord earned the National Scholastic Portfolio Award in New York City along with a scholarship to Rochester Institute of Technology. He went on to continue his undergraduate studies at the State University of New York at Brockport and earned a Master of Fine Art Degree from the State University of New York at Buffalo, Summa Cum Laude. Lessord has received over 100 awards and recognitions to date. Throughout the years, his work has gone through substantial transitions in subject matter, technique and style. The joy of exploring new mediums has motivated Lessord to experiment with pencil, lithography, intaglio, pen and ink, watercolor and acrylic. Lessord has a great deal of experience in the publication realm, having produced illustration for magazine covers, books, brochures, and the motion picture industry. He has worked with major clients including Disney, Universal Studios, Busch Gardens, Richard Crane Productions and many others. Gary's art is in public and private collections in the United States, Canada and Europe.
