Sensation Comics #1 (DC, 1942) CGC Qualified FN 6.0 Off-white pages. Our excellent original-owner run of Sensation starts with this very first issue, one of the 30 most valuable comic books according to Overstreet's ranking. It's got the second appearance of Wonder Woman, just a month after her debut in All Star Comics #8. This is basically Part Two of her origin -- the scene shifts from Paradise Island to the USA, and we see her arrive Stateside, acquire her "Diana Prince" secret identity, and more (by the way, this is the story that became the first episode of the 1970s TV show). Also making their debuts were Wildcat, Mr. Terrific, and Sheldon Moldoff's Black Pirate. Jon Blummer is credited with the issue's cover, and of course the Wonder Woman story is by artist H. G. Peter and writer William Moulton Marston. CGC notes, "Half of 12th page cut out, affects story. Incomplete." Overstreet 2006 GD 2.0 value= $2,660; VG 4.0 value = $5,320; FN 6.0 value = $7,980. From the Collection of Harold Curtis.
