<B>Selma, AL- Selma, Marion and Memphis Railroad Company</B></I> $1000 Bond 1869<BR> This colorful bond has the signature of N(athan) B(edford) Forrest, former Confederate Lt. General of cavalry, on both the face and back. Forrest had much success during the war with his daring raids and tactics. However, this railroad went bankrupt under his leadership. There is some paper separation at a couple of the fold junctures.
