This sport coat was worn by the character "Kramer" portrayed by actor Michael Richards in the hit television series "Seinfeld" which ran from 1990-1998. This vintage sport coat is green glen plaid with a three-button closure, notch lapel, a breast pocket and two front besom pockets. The interior breast pocket has an original Sabrina's tailor label sewn in with "specially made for Mr. Nicholas K Simon", and additional label with "Nicholas K Simon and 21th (sic), Jan, 1972" clearly typed. A copy of the Seinfeld production rental return sheet dated April 17, 1998 indicates that it was returned to the costume house near the end of the show's 9th and final season.

Mr. Richards wears this coat in season 9 episode 2 "The Voice" when Kramer is in "Jerry's" (Jerry Seinfeld) apartment discussing his personal intern for his fake business Kramerica. Kramer wore predominantly vintage wardrobe throughout the entire series, the costume designer Charmaine Nash Simmons, utilized a number of the same garments in different episodes. These garments were part of Kramer's production closet and were placed on hold for years at a time so that they would be available when needed.

Seinfeld ran for 8 years and won 3 Golden Globes as well as another 57 additional wins and 111 nominations. The garment is in excellent vintage screen worn condition and is accompanied by a letter of authenticity from the costume house.
