Very good plus. The iron surfaces have some fine scratches from being cleaned bright with some light pitting (mostly on the barrel). The brass components have a fine patina. The stock is very fine with exception of a couple hairline cracks near the buttplate and trigger and the initials "DP" inscribed on the buttstock (right side), along with some minor dings and scratches and a some scattered minor dents. Mechanically fine. This is a solid representative example of one of these usually heavily issued Civil War carbines.
