1889, Washington. Stock certificate for 100 shares. Brown/Black. Vignette at top left of industrial buildings and a steam locomotive at top right. Issued to and signed on verso by Herman O. Armour (1837 – 1901) Meat packer. Allied his commission house of H. O. Armour with his brother Philip, adding a pork packing plant in 1868. In 1870, the firm became Armour and Company. Rectangular hole cut cancellation at left and stamp cancelled. Neither cancellation affected Armour's bold signature on verso. Very Fine.
