Season's Greetings From the Coppola Company (1969). Holiday Poster (16" X 21.5"). While filming "The Rain People" in 1968, Francis Ford Coppola and the cast and crew of the film gathered for this Christmas card photo, which was sent out as the poster you see here. We haven't been able to identify everybody, but the shot includes: gaffer Pat Ryan, cinematographer Bill Butler, actors Robert Duvall, Shirley Knight and James Caan, associate producer Mona Skager, boom man Antonio Sabat, associate producer Nat Boxer, co-producer Ron Colby, editor Blackie Malkin, and art director Leon Erickson. Coppola is seated on the ladder, co-producer Bart Patton is seated with the trumpet and next to him is assistant editor Marcia Lucas. George Lucas, who was shooting "The Making of The Rain People," is standing on the van in the rear. The poster is printed on velum, and has edge wear and tears with tape on the back, a chip and some wrinkling. A unique piece from very early in the careers of Coppola and Lucas. Fine/Very Fine.
