Lot of 6 includes: 1) view of the main street of Searchlight taken from a hillside above town. Not used. 2) Shows a wooden house front with signs and decorations on the roof and porch. The message on the reverse notes that the house belongs to one of the “Boys” here. “He got married…and come home last night and we went and shivareed him—had a great time.” Signed Gus. Dated 1909. 3) Looks to be sent by the same writer as the previous card. This one is a real photo of Searchlight taken from a slight rise above the town, and shows most of the main street and the water reservoir on a hilltop nearby. It has handwritten addenda all over the front—i.e. “Hello Miss Quill. Jess. Dear Brock. Your dog Bob is not here. Bill (shows a picture of “Bob” flying through the air with the caption—Bob on his way home). A few other remarks are at the bottom of the picture. Postmarked Mar. 15, 1910. 4) Another shot of the town taken from “Tank Hill.” Someone has drawn an arrow from the margin to one of the buildings and labeled it “Hall.” 5) A blue-toned real photo showing a multi-armed cactus—looks rather like a Joshua Tree. 6) A real photo showing a huge round boulder perched on the side of another boulder on the ground—looking somewhat like a hot air balloon ready for takeoff. A dog stands in the shadow of the boulder. Caption reads: “Near Searchlight, Nev.” Postmarked Searchlight, date illegible.
