C.1920 Venus de Milo plaster sculpture which has the look of marble with a much more expensive ambiance than the price,was originally created by Alexandros of Antioch 130BC and displayed in the Louvre is an exact replica. Known as symbolism for beauty and love. The original of course in marble was found only in 1820,broken and hidden for awhile in a barn by Yorgos,was after some time returned to France and presented to Louis XVIII. This replica is exact,detailed in features and dress and as the bottom symbol says "Mexico". Her arms were found around the same site and many tried to repair but alas,she will remain armless. Excellent condition. Displays well teamed with stacks of books atop a chest or coffee table.Measures 13.5H x 3.25W x 2.75L.
