Scrooged Homunculus Starving Child Figure Prop
Scrooged Homunculus Starving Child Figure Prop - In the myriad of Dickens retelling of "A Christmas Carol" both on screen, TV, stage, radio and anyplace else where there's an audience, perhaps one of the most original and successful was the modern version, "Scrooged" (1988), in which Bill Murray plays a Scrooge-like selfish, cynical and heartless TV Executive who is putting on a live version of the traditional "A Christmas Carol" on his network, all the while being visited himself by the "three spirits" who show him his past, present and future. This is a stunning and remarkable screen used "homunculus" starving child seen under the robes of Death-Ghost Of The Future, representing hunger, ignorance, pestilence, etc. Astoundingly life-like, and created with special latex to give it a look of actual skin and bones (and check out those teeth and tongue!), it was designed and built by the Legendary Special Make-Up Effects team of Thomas and Bari Burman, who also were nominated for an Oscar for their work on the film. The Homunculus Child figure is approx 9"x25" and comes with a museum quality wood display base. Please note that it is without hands, since the mechanical hands seen in the sequence were separate appliances. Because of its size and weight, there will be an additional shipping charge.
