Scottish dagger in classic style with ornate sterling silver mounted with gems and maker marked by H.B. Kirkwood, Edinborough with full silver hallmarks. The blade is in very good condition with most of its original polish. The silver is sharp and crisp and not rubbed out. The hilt is nicely checkered and carved with Scottish Busby and crossed sword. The knife and Fork set are retained and match. The condition is very good plus to near fine overall and the top of the throat shows 42nd Highlander’s symbol of Saint holding a cross. The 42nd Highlanders where the famous “black watch” who served with distinction in the American Revolution and throughout the world. A fine dagger from a major northwest coast collector.
