Scottish Victorian era basket hilt sword by Moore and Taget of Glasgow, Scotland circa about 1870 remaining in good to very good condition with its original scabbard. The blade shows some light to moderate rust and erosion with strong traces oforiginal etching and good makers name etched on the ricasso. The hilt and scabbard are good to very good with some bubbling and crazing to the nickel finish and just normal aging with a little polishing. The sharkskin grip shows some wear atthe edges but is at least very good plus. A very attractive basket hilt by a well-known maker. Est.: $800-$1600
