Title is Bull Bison Portrait. 8" by 10" unframed. 13" by 15" framed. Oil on Canvas. Scott Patton is a contemporary impressionist painter whose work is influenced by masters such as Vladimir Volegov and Erin Hanson. Born and raised in Oklahoma, Scott relocated to Florida in 1997 to pursue a career in computer technology, but ultimately found himself drawn back to his true passion art. His natural talent emerged at the early age of seven and has since blossomed into a full-time artistic career. Scott’s style blends modern impressionism with subtle touches of realism, creating vibrant, expressive works that capture both atmosphere and emotion. After exploring various creative paths, he gravitated toward oil painting for its rich textures, extended working time, and exceptional blending properties. Many of the artists who mentored him also specialized in oils, further reinforcing his connection to the medium. His experimental spirit eventually led him to impressionist oil painting, a space where he now thrives. His favorite subjects include nautical and marine scenes, often infused with tropical and figurative elements. Ideally, Scott seeks to combine all of these themes into a single composition, though he also enjoys exploring a variety of subjects to appeal to diverse collectors with a strong emphasis on sailing, beaches, and coastal life. Scott’s goal is not only to enhance the aesthetic of a space but to evoke a lasting emotional connection through storytelling with color and canvas. He currently resides in beautiful Sarasota, Florida, with his wife, Sandra, and their two sons, Aaron and George.
