Stunning original mixed media artwork by Calle depicting John Glenn’s Friendship 7 capsule in orbit, 18 x 13, signed in the lower border in black felt tip, “Scott Carpenter, Mercury 7 Astronaut,” and in pencil, “Chris Calle.” Various stray rubbing marks to wide border areas and brushing to Calle’s signature, otherwise fine condition. Originally created in 1998, this painting was featured on a stamp issued by the Marshall Islands.
