This is a vintage Schwinn Collegiate Sport. It has 10-speed style handlebars, but is a 5 speed, which is actually better for around town riding. This model is dated from 1971, based on the serial number. Its condition is very good for its age, and comes from the original owner. It appears to be a size 20, as measured from the center of the hub to the top of the seat post. The dark brown root beer color paint is good, with spots of wear. The chrome has light surface rust, but this could be cleaned up. The gears are all shifting through. The brake pads are old and should be replaced, but they function fine. All appears to be original, including the seats, and the front and rear generator lights, which work fine. We're not sure about the tires, but they are Schwinn marked.
This classic Schwinn Collegiate is a sturdy and reliable bike, as well as a nice ride.

Buyer's Premium: A buyer's premium will be in effect for all auction sales and shall be added to each purchase to reach the total sales price. Record of Sale: The record of sale, posted by Universal Live Auctions, Universal Collectibles or Universal B&I, will be taken as absolute and final in all disputes. 8. Use of Your Information. Although obtained from sources deemed reliable, the Seller and Auctioneer make no warranty or guarantee to the accuracy of the information contained in any auction listing. 13. Entire Agreement; Waiver. This Agreement, including the Universal’s User Agreement and all exhibits and other documents are incorporated herein by reference, set forth the entire understanding and agreement of the parties and supersede any and all other written or oral agreements or understandings between the parties as to the subject matter of this Agreement. In the event of an inconsistency between this Agreement and any other document, which is part of this Agreement, the terms of this Agreement shall govern. From time to time during the term of this Agreement, Universal Collectibles, Universal B&I or Universal Live Auctions may amend this Agreement (including any incorporated documents) by posting the amended terms on any Universal site, emailing notice of the amendment to the Buyer, or otherwise communicating such amendment to the Buyer. Each amendment will be effective immediately after it is initially posted on any Universal site, emailed to the Buyer, or otherwise communicated to the Buyer. The waiver of a breach of any provision of this Agreement will not operate or be interpreted as a waiver of any other or subsequent breach.
