In part: “For the humane & patriotic object, for which you desire my autograph I cannot refuse; and with my best wishes for the success of the Sanitary Fair of Philadelphia.” In fine condition, with slightly trimmed edges. Accompanied by an unsigned original carte-de-visite portrait of Colfax.
