This auction sale catalog includes numismatic material from Mexico, Latin America, the United States, Europe, and other foreign countries and includes coins, ingots, and artifacts from the 1715 Spanish Fleet wrecks and the wreck of the 'Maravilla'. The sale includes 62 lots of gold and silver cobs and 9 silver bars from the Spanish galleon, 'Maravillas' (sank 1656), and 221 lots of gold and silver cobs and 5 silver bars from the 1715 Fleet. Additionally, it has 7 lots of silver cobs from 'A small salvage off the coast of Vero Beach on a sunny day'. Also included in the sale are U.S. and world gold and silver rarities (Panama Pacific $50, Ancient coins, Talers). The Preface includes two articles, 'The Senora de la Maravilla' by Dr. R. Obojski and 'Some Comments about this Sale of Potosi Mint Counterstamped Coins Struck in 1649-51 and Recovered from the Wreckage of the Spanish Treasure Ship the 'Maravilla' (lots 452-501)' by Gabriel Calbeto.
